How to Play Guitar in the Key of G

The key of G is, by far, the most common key in all guitar-based music. Learning to play in this key will not only allow you to learn many of your favorite songs, but will also give you the opportunity to play with virtually any other guitarist.

Playing the G Chord

Step 1:
Review and memorize the names of the strings. Lowest to highest, they are E-A-D-G-B-E.

Step 2:
Place your middle finger on the third fret of the low E string.

Step 3:
Place your index finger on the second fret of the A string.

Step 4:
Place your pinky on the third fret of the high E string.

Step 5:
Strum the chord downward from lowest strings toward the highest.

Playing the C, D and E-Minor Chords

Step 1:
Place your index finger on the first fret of the B string to begin the C chord.

Step 2:
Place your middle finger on the second fret of the D string.

Step 3:
Place your ring finger on the third fret of the A string.

Step 4:
Make the C chord sound completely authentic by arching your thumb around the neck of the guitar and muting the low E string lightly. Strum the strings downward.

Step 5:
Place your ring finger on the third fret of the B string to begin the D chord.

Step 6:
Place your middle finger on the second fret of the high E string.

Step 7:
Place your index finger on the second fret of the G string.

Step 8:
Mute the low E string with your thumb and strum the strings downward to play the D chord. E is not one of the three notes in the D-major chord (D-F#-A).

Step 9:
Place your index finger on the second fret of the A string to begin the E-minor chord.

Step 10:
Place your middle finger on the second fret of the D string.

Step 11:
Strum the strings downward to play the E-minor chord.

Playing in the Key of G

Step 1:
Freely strum the sequence G, C, D. Disregard tempo and meter for now.

Step 2:
Strum each chord four times repeating the sequence of G, C, D.

Step 3:
Strum G four times, C two times, and D two times and repeat.

Step 4:
Repeat Step 19 while keeping a steady tempo. Use a metronome if accessible.

Step 5:
Strum G four times, C two times, and D four times.

Step 6:
Strum each chord two times.

Step 7:
Strum G two times, C two times, E minor four times, and D four times.

Step 8:
Experiment with your own variations and progressions.

Tips & Warnings

It is a nice option to add the ring finger on the third fret of the B string while playing the G chord. This change gives the chord a much fuller sound.

Keep your eyes open as you approach your partner and maintain eye contact.

Step 6:
Close your eyes as you get closer to your partner. However, some people find it sensual to keep the eyes open, so you'll have to decide on your personal preference.

Step 7:
Start with a gentle and soft closed-mouth kiss. Lightly caress your partner’s lips with your lips and be receptive of the response you get.

Step 8:
Hold your partner’s face and/or lightly stroke their hair in a loving manner.

The Best Toshiba Satellite Notebook

I am delighted to have a Toshiba Satellite notebook. Toshiba Satellite has been my choice for quite a few years now and have never encountered any issues with them. The model I use now is the Toshiba Satellite M35-S320, introduced a few years back in the market. It is outdated now and it would be a great surprise if any of it is still up for sale in any of the outlets. And obviously, you have the option of ordering it online.

In spite of being outdated, the Toshiba Satellite notebook I own fulfills all my needs. Being outdated doesn’t mean that it is not of utility, in only means advanced version have come in the market. The configuration of my M-35 is as follows: 60 GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM, Pentium-M 1.5GHz processor, DVD-ROM/CD-RW UNIT, 32 MB NVIDIA Geforce FX Go5200 graphics card, 15.4 TFT monitor, wireless modem and network card. This I feel is descent enough even in today’s market.

Toshiba Satellite acquires it name from its wireless network ability. I really enjoy this technical site www.techiehut.com. When introduced Toshiba Satellites were viewed as luxury and very unique. It is very common nowadays that all laptops have built in wireless networking ability. Yet, Toshiba Satellite is one of the most widely used notebooks for going online. You can be online anytime as long you have access to a network around you.

Toshiba Satellite notebooks are capable to handle heavy entertainment features like movies and games. The graphics card and RAM facilitates it to play games and run movies with high visual quality. For me, primarily the Toshiba Satellite has been a source to indulge in games and medium to watch movies wherever I work, even in remote areas like jungles etc.

The Toshiba Satellite ‘M’ series has now many versions and M-65 is the latest available one as of the beginning of 2006. The M-65 is a magnificent notebook with a higher capacity hard drive, a faster processor and enhanced graphics card. Although it has the tag of satellite in its name and is equally capable of net access as its previous versions, the focus seems to be on the improved graphical power.

The only aspect I see in which Toshiba Satellite lags behind is audio quality. My M-35 certainly is below expectation in this aspect. If you feel the need, you can boost the quality of audio by investing a little amount in purchasing a set of speakers.

The official name of the Mozilla Application Suite developed by the Mozilla Foundation. It is also the public and original name but got changed recently to SeaMonkey suite. In informal terms, the name found usage in combination with other phrases related to the now-defunct Netscape Communications Corporation and the various application software that were related to it.

The code base for Netscape Communicator Internet suite was given the Netscape Public License, which is a free software or open source license in 1998. The application developed from this was named Mozilla, as per the codename of the original Netscape Navigator, and was released finally on June 5, 2002.

The suite was well known as the free/open source base of the Netscape versions 6 and 7; its underlying code base became the base of many standalone applications. Teknik Menggitar dan Bernyanyi

Sang pendiri Megadeth ini memiliki teknik bermain yang sangat khas dan menjadi ciri grup tersebut। Inilah sedikit teknik-teknik tersebut yang ia tampilkan saat konser di Medan beberapa waktu lalu.

Di awal penampilan mereka, Dave Mustaine dkk. menampilkan 'Dread & Fugitive Mind' yang intronya menuntut keempat personel untuk 'masuk' berbarengan. Pada lagu yang termuat di album kompilasi Capitol Punishment tahun 2000 tersebut, Dave melakukan riff yang khas dengan fill-fill yang mengiringi chord pada bagian pre chorus.
Dan begitu memasuki chorus, harmonisasi duet gitar antara Mustaine dengan Al Pitrelli terdengar sangat harmonis. Pitrelli ternyata sanggup melanjutkan tradisi harmonisasi gitar yang menjadi ciri khas grup Megadeth, sejak bergabungnya Marty Friedman pada tahun 1990.
Selesai 'Dread & Fugitive Mind', Mustaine langsung mengocok gitarnya untuk intro lagu 'Kill The King' masih dari album Capitol Punishment. Di sini ia menampilkan pattern rhythm yang sangat khas, dan sudah menjadi cirinya sejak pertama kali membangun Megadeth di tahun 1983.
Pada lagu 'Wake Up Dead' dari album Peace Sells But Who's Buying, Dave memainkan gitarnya dengan aransemen yang nggak beda dengan versi albumnya. Hanya saja teriakan vokalnya yang memang sudah berkurang kualitasnya itu, terdengar agak berat terutama saat ia harus memakai teknik falseto.
Begitu juga saat keempat personel Megadeth dengan kompak langsung memasuki lagu 'In My Darkest Hour' yang dicomot dari album So Far, So Good… So What! yang dirilis pada tahun 1988. Hanya saja di lagu ini lengkingan vokalnya terdengar lebih mulus.
Pada lagu kelima yang merupakan lagu baru dari album gres 2001, The World Needs A Hero yaitu '1000 Times Goodbye'. Lagu yang pattern rhythm-nya rada mengingatkan kita pada lagu 'No Remorse'-nya Metallica ini, adalah salah satu lagu andalan dalam album tersebut. Suara Mustaine terdengar melengking tinggi saat di bagian refrain lagu. Hebat juga dia di usia hampir kepala empat masih mampu berteriak lantang begitu.
Ia memainkan sepotong rhythm lagu 'She-Wolf' dari album Cryptic Writings tahun 1997. Pada lagu itu ia dan Pitrelli bergantian menampilkan teknik tinggi dalam menggitar seperti tapping dan fast picking. Teknik tersebut sebenarnya bukanlah ciri Mustaine, tetapi ia ternyata cukup piawai melakukannya. Lagu diakhiri dengan harmonisasi lagi antara kedua gitar, yang aslinya dimainkan oleh Mustaine bersama Marty Friedman.
Mustaine kembali 'bersolo' dalam lagu 'Angry Again' yang merupakan soundtrack film Last Action Hero dan termuat di mini album (album kompilasi lagu-lagu non album) Hidden Treasures. Ia memainkan lagu itu langsung ke bait pertama tanpa intro. Tapi Mustaine tidak memainkan solo pertama. Pitrelli 'mengambil' bagian solo pertama yang aslinya dilakukan oleh Mustaine. Sedangkan Mustaine sendiri memainkan solo kedua milik Friedman yang sebenarnya lebih rumit.
Selanjutnya adalah 'Reckoning Day' yang diambil dari album Youthanasia tahun 1994. Vokal Mustaine juga masih kuat untuk mendaki nada-nada tinggi di bagian pre chorus-nya. Walaupun terdengar agak ngotot juga saat memasuki chorus. Lagu berikutnya adalah 'Devils Island' yang berasal dari album lawas Peace Sells… But Who's Buying?, dimana Mustaine bermain persis seperti di album.
